Responsibilities/Qualifications:

Oakleigh of Macomb Assisted Living Facility is seeking a compassionate and experienced MedTech to provide dignified care to our residents. We currently have openings for the 2nd Shift.
As a MedTech, your responsibilities will include:
– Assisting residents with daily living activities, such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
– Administering medications as a primary responsibility while providing hands-on care to each resident.
– Maintaining a clean and safe environment, which may involve light housekeeping tasks.
– Complying with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
– Monitoring residents for changes in condition and promptly communicating any concerns to the supervisor.
– Administering medications and injections according to medical charts.
– Following the care schedule and assisting residents with repositioning as needed.
– Adhering to proper documentation procedures for medication administration.
– Exercising sound judgment in the provision of client care and ensuring safety.
– Collaborating with team members to support their duties effectively.
– Completing all required documentation and charting accurately.
– Responding to call lights and assessing residents’ needs.
– Obtaining meal trays and assisting residents during mealtime.
– Performing other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements:
– Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
– Must be at least 18 years of age.
– Experience in medication administration and working with senior populations is required.
– High school diploma or GED is necessary.
– Reliable transportation is expected.
– Availability to work every other weekend is required.
