Job description:
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our team at Homestead, where we proudly manage the Whispering Pines Senior Living Facility in Lake City, MI. We are currently seeking dedicated Medication Technicians (Med Techs) to provide exceptional care and support to our residents. We currently have part-time shifts available, including 6 AM to 2 PM, 2 PM to 10 PM, and 10 PM to 6 AM.

As a Medication Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

– Assisting residents with daily living activities, such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
– Administering medications and injections in accordance with physician orders documented in medical charts.
– Maintaining a clean and safe environment, which may involve light housekeeping tasks.
– Complying with all safety and health standards, including infection control protocols.
– Monitoring residents for changes in condition and promptly communicating any observations to the supervisor.
– Following scheduled routines and assisting residents with repositioning as needed.
– Accurately documenting medication administration.
– Utilizing sound judgment in client care to ensure resident safety.
– Collaborating with team members and assisting with their responsibilities as required.
– Responding promptly to call lights and assessing residents’ needs.
– Assisting with meal trays and supporting residents during mealtimes.
– Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
