Homestead Health Care is actively seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide dedicated care to our residents in Flint, MI. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in assisting residents with activities of daily living while providing companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with seniors. This is a part-time position, and we are willing to train the right candidates—no licenses or certifications are required. Immediate hiring is available!
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
- Administer medications and injections to residents according to medical charts and document medications as required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Maintain cleanliness in the environment, which may include light housekeeping.
- Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor.
- Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
- Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work every other weekend.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
- Valid driver’s license or identification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and punctuality for all shifts.
Schedule:
This part-time role involves 8-hour shifts, with a requirement to work every other weekend.
Pay:
