Job description:

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide exceptional care to our residents in Flint, MI, including assistance with medication management. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with seniors.

This is a part-time position with no prior licenses or certifications required, as we are committed to providing training for the right individuals. We are hiring immediately!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications and injections according to medical charts, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment, which may include light housekeeping duties.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and fellow staff members.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience in elderly care is preferred.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • A valid driver’s license or state-issued ID is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team, with punctuality for all shifts.

Schedule:
This part-time role entails 8-hour shifts, with a requirement to work every other weekend.

Compensation:
