Job description:

When patients arrive at our outpatient physical therapy center in Medina, we strive to provide them with an outstanding experience, beginning with the front desk. As a Patient Service Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing both the patient and business aspects of our center. Your contributions will significantly influence each patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and register patients, offering information about what to expect during their visit and details regarding their next appointment at checkout.
  • Schedule patient appointments both in-person and via phone.
  • Communicate regularly with various stakeholders, including attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services, operational leaders, and the business development team.
  • Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and carry out insurance authorizations and verifications.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of one year of front desk experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
