We are seeking a motivated Member Services Representative to join our team! Bilingual candidates in English and Spanish are encouraged to apply. In this role, you will deliver an exceptional level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a “Judgment Free” experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Greet members and guests, providing exceptional customer service to ensure everyone feels comfortable and welcome.
• Answer phone inquiries in a friendly manner, assisting callers with various questions.
• Check in members, conduct tours, and sign up new members while logging amenities and communicating updates and events.
• Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases using the point of sale system.
• Utilize the POS system for new membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby.
• Perform regular facility cleaning, including mopping spills, trash removal, window and mirror cleaning, and re-racking weights.
• Ensure the cleanliness of all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
• Frequently clean and restock restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Applicants for overnight positions must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire. Continued employment will depend on a satisfactory outcome.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• An upbeat, positive, and professional attitude is essential.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the required timeframes and maintain the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in emergencies.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand motions.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
• Capable of communicating continually in person or on the phone during shifts.
• Maintain the physical capability to administer CPR during a medical emergency.
• Ability to see within a normal visual range, with or without correction.
• Ability to hear within a normal audio range, with or without correction.
