Job description:

We are seeking a motivated Member Services Representative to join our team in a full-time overnight capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a consistently positive "Judgement Free" experience. Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Welcome members and guests, providing outstanding customer service to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
• Answer phone inquiries with a friendly demeanor and assist callers with various questions.
• Facilitate member check-ins, provide tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to both members and guests.
• Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage or merchandise transactions using the point-of-sale system.
• Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership cards, address changes, and billing inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and orderly front desk and lobby area by going the extra mile.
• Regularly engage in facility cleaning tasks, including mopping spills, removing trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
• Ensure all exercise equipment and tanning beds are cleaned routinely.
• Uphold cleanliness standards in restrooms and wet areas, including stocking supplies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Candidates for the overnight position must complete a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire, with continued employment contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues, exceeding expectations.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Possess an upbeat, positive, and professional attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification as required by the company, with the capability to perform CPR/AED in emergency situations.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand motions.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
