Job description:

We are seeking a motivated Member Services Representative to join our team on a full-time overnight schedule. Bilingual candidates fluent in English and Spanish are highly encouraged to apply! In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, fostering a welcoming and “Judgement Free” environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Greet members and guests warmly, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and valued.
• Answer phone inquiries in a friendly manner and provide assistance with various questions.
• Check in members, conduct tours, and enroll new members while logging amenities and communicating updates and events to all guests.
• Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage and merchandise purchases using the point of sale system.
• Utilize the POS system to assist with membership card issuance, address changes, and billing inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby.
• Perform regular facility cleaning, including mopping spills, trash removal, and cleaning windows, mirrors, and equipment.
• Ensure all exercise equipment and tanning beds are cleaned regularly.
• Conduct routine cleaning and stocking of restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Candidates for overnight positions must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment; continued employment will depend on a satisfactory background check outcome.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a professional and positive demeanor when interacting with members and colleagues.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• An upbeat and professional attitude is essential.
• Punctuality and reliability are crucial.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the required timeframe and possess the capability to perform CPR/AED in emergencies.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; must frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive hand motions.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull a moderate amount of weight (up to 50 lbs).
