Job description:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Member Services Representative to join our team on a part-time, afternoon schedule. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a welcoming and supportive "Judgment Free" environment. Bilingual candidates fluent in English and Spanish are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Extend a warm greeting to members and guests, fostering a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
• Respond to phone inquiries in a friendly manner, assisting callers with a range of questions.
• Check members in, conduct facility tours, facilitate new member sign-ups, and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
• Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage and merchandise purchases using the point-of-sale system.
• Assist with new membership cards, address changes, and billing inquiries through the POS system.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain an immaculate front desk and lobby area, ensuring cleanliness and order.
• Conduct routine facility upkeep including mopping spills, trash disposal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
• Regularly clean all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
• Ensure restrooms and wet areas are cleaned and adequately stocked.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Candidates must consent to a seven-year criminal background check within the first week of employment, with ongoing employment contingent on satisfactory results.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a proven ability to engage positively and professionally with members and co-workers, consistently exceeding expectations.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Possess an upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification, ensuring readiness to act in a medical emergency.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods, frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand motions.
• Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to engage in conversation continuously in person or over the phone.
• Maintain physical capability to administer CPR in emergency situations.
