Position: Member Services Representative – Part Time – Weekday Mornings (5:30 AM – 11:00 AM)

We are actively seeking a motivated Member Services Representative to join our team! Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are strongly encouraged to apply. As a valued member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a “Judgement Free” experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service/Front Desk Activities:
– Warmly greet members and guests, providing outstanding customer service to create a welcoming environment.
– Answer phone inquiries with a friendly demeanor and assist callers with a variety of questions.
– Facilitate member check-ins, provide tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
– Address member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
– Process beverage and merchandise purchases using the point of sale system.
– Utilize the POS system to assist with issuing new membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:
– Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby environment through diligent upkeep.
– Conduct regular facility cleaning, including mopping spills, removing trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and reorganizing weights.
– Ensure that all exercise equipment and tanning beds are cleaned consistently.
– Regularly clean and stock restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:
– Applicants for this position must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire, with continued employment contingent on a satisfactory outcome.
– Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers, striving to exceed expectations.
– Prior customer service experience is preferred.
– Must be at least 18 years old.
– High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
– A positive, upbeat, and professional attitude is essential.
– Punctuality and reliability are mandatory.
– Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within the required timeframe and possess the physical capacity to perform CPR/AED in emergencies.

Physical Demands/Requirements:
– Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand motions.
– Occasionally able to lift, carry, push, or pull moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
– Capable of talking continuously in person or over the phone throughout the shift.
– Physical readiness to administer CPR during a medical emergency.
– Normal visual range with or without correction is required.
– Normal audio range with or without correction is necessary.
