Job description:

We are seeking a motivated Member Services Representative to join our team on a part-time basis during weekends and afternoons. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a truly "Judgement Free" experience. Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Greet members and guests, delivering outstanding customer service to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Answer phone calls in a friendly manner and assist with various inquiries.
• Check in members, conduct tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
• Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases using the point of sale system.
• Utilize the POS system for new membership cards, address changes, and billing inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain an orderly and clean front desk area and lobby.
• Carry out regular cleaning tasks, including mopping, trash removal, cleaning windows, and re-racking weights.
• Ensure all exercise equipment and tanning beds are cleaned regularly.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock in restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Candidates must agree to a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire; continued employment is contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
• Exceptional customer service abilities, with a knack for positive interactions with members and colleagues, exceeding member expectations.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Possess an upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• CPR/AED certification must be obtained and maintained within the timeframe required by the company, along with the ability to perform CPR/AED in emergencies.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand motions.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderate weight (up to 50 lbs).
