Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Member Services Representative to join our team on a part-time basis, specifically during weekends and afternoons. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring a welcoming and supportive "Judgement Free" environment. Bilingual candidates fluent in both English and Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

• Warmly greet members and guests, delivering outstanding customer service to foster a comfortable atmosphere.
• Answer phone inquiries courteously, assisting callers with a diverse range of questions.
• Check in members, provide tours, enroll new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events effectively.
• Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage or merchandise transactions using the point of sale system.
• Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and lobby, exceeding cleanliness expectations.
• Conduct regular cleaning and upkeep of facilities, including mopping spills, disposing of trash, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
• Ensure all exercise equipment and tanning beds are routinely cleaned.
• Regularly maintain and stock restroom and wet areas.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Candidates for this position must consent to a seven-year criminal background check within the first week of hiring, with continued employment contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding member expectations.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Possess an upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the required timeframe and possess the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in emergencies.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand motions.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull moderate weights (up to 50 lbs).
• Capable of continuous verbal communication in person or via phone throughout the shift.
