Job description:
We are seeking a dedicated Member Services Representative to join our team on a part-time basis, focusing on weekend and afternoon shifts. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, fostering a welcoming “Judgement Free” environment. Bilingual candidates in English and Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:
- Greet members and guests, delivering outstanding service to ensure a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer phone calls in a friendly manner, assisting callers with various inquiries.
- Check in members, provide tours to prospective members, facilitate new memberships, log amenities, and communicate updates and events effectively.
- Respond promptly and professionally to member questions and concerns.
- Process beverage or merchandise purchases using the point-of-sale system.
- Utilize the POS system to manage new membership cards, address changes, and billing inquiries.
Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and orderly front desk and lobby area.
- Conduct regular facility cleaning tasks, including mopping spills, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
- Regularly clean exercise equipment and tanning beds.
- Ensure restrooms and wet areas are clean and well-stocked.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Candidates must undergo a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire; continued employment is contingent upon a satisfactory outcome.
- Stellar customer service skills with an ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues.
- Prior customer service experience is preferred.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- An upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor is essential.
- Punctuality and reliability are crucial.
- CPR/AED certification must be obtained and maintained within company-required time frames, with the ability to perform CPR/AED in emergencies.
Physical Demands and Requirements:
