Role Summary
The Team Member plays a critical role in enhancing the member experience by delivering outstanding customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring they receive exceptional customer service.
- Perform front desk activities, including:
- Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with various inquiries.
- Checking members into the system.
- Facilitating new member sign-ups.
- Conducting tours for prospective members.
- Assisting with updates to members’ accounts as needed.
- Addressing member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to the Assistant Manager or Manager as required.
- Contributing to the cleanliness and organization of the club.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications.
- A passion for fitness and health.
- An upbeat and positive attitude.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding expectations.
- Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and solve problems.
- Demonstrated diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate language and behavior.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
