Job Description
Job Title: Memory Care Caregiver
Company: Brookdale Portage MC (MI)
Location: Portage, MI
Pay: $16 – 16.88 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $16 to $16.88 for a Memory Care Caregiver in Portage, MI appears to be somewhat competitive, but it generally falls within the lower end of the spectrum when compared to national averages for similar roles. As of 2023, the typical wage for memory care caregivers ranges from $15 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and certifications, with locations near urban centers often offering higher pay. In Michigan, the average tends to be around $17 to $20 per hour. Thus, while the offered rate may attract entry-level caregivers, it may not be sufficient to retain experienced staff or attract high-quality candidates in a competitive labor market.
