Job description:

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to join our team and provide dedicated care to residents in Saginaw, MI. The Caregiver will assist residents with activities of daily living while offering companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with seniors.

(No licenses or certifications are required; we are willing to provide training and hiring immediately!) However, experience in medication administration is a prerequisite.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment, which may involve light housekeeping duties.
  • Report any changes in the residents’ conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Valid Driver’s license or ID.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, with punctuality for every shift.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position, requiring caregivers to be available for 8-hour shifts.

Pay:
