Summary: The Operations Manager plays a critical role in implementing and managing building, service department, and organizational policies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization. This position oversees internal communications among department coordinators to foster growth and success while managing schedules, events, and activities integral to the center’s operations. Additionally, the Operations Manager coordinates data collection and maintains a comprehensive database for financial and grant reporting while building relationships with donors and funders to support nonprofit operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Respond to phone inquiries and direct community members to appropriate resources, services, and programs.
– Assist community members with technology and referral services in the technology lab.
– Define, maintain, and execute the organization’s operational strategic plan.
– Clearly communicate, implement, and regularly update organizational processes.
– Establish goals, metrics, and rewards for the team, providing consistent feedback and recognition to team members.
– Lead and engage in team leadership, contributing to hiring, reassignment, performance feedback, and promotions.
– Communicate regularly about organizational plans, performance, progress, successes, and challenges.
– Collaborate with other managers in the organization and represent the department in various meetings.
– Enhance results for both the assigned organization and the larger enterprise.
– Ensure compliance with LTCC policies and procedures in all activities.
– Collaborate with organizational leadership and accountants to complete financial bookkeeping.
– Develop and manage partnerships that build community support for operations.
– Draft grant applications and coordinate the grants calendar to ensure organizational financial health.
– Maintain accurate records, files, and data systems necessary for grant reporting (e.g., attendance, participant survey data, finances).
– Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
– Ensure the effective implementation and coordination of daily operations.
– Engage with community and youth populations to encourage participation in organizational events and activities.
– Foster relationships with community members utilizing the organization’s resource center.
– Contribute to organizational growth by collaborating with department coordinators to ensure strategic objectives, timelines, and outcomes are met.
– Maintain relationships with intermediaries and networks.
– Support external communications related to operations.
– Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
– Manage the opening and closing of the resource center in accordance with operational hours.
