Role Summary:
The Team Member is instrumental in delivering a positive experience for our members by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Oversee all front desk activities including:
- Answering phones in a friendly manner, checking members in, processing new member sign-ups, and conducting tours for prospective members.
- Facilitating necessary updates to members’ accounts.
- Responding promptly and professionally to member inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
- Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the club.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in computer usage.
- A genuine passion for fitness and health.
- An upbeat, positive attitude is essential.
- Punctuality and reliability are mandatory.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage positively and professionally, consistently exceeding member expectations.
- Strong listening abilities, empathetic approach, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions, utilizing appropriate behavior and language.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
