Job description:

Oversee the logistics of parking events at The Ohio State University/CampusParc, ensuring a seamless and efficient parking experience for attendees, the University, and partnering organizations. Responsibilities include managing parking arrangements and personnel, which can range from 3 to 200 staff members depending on the event scale, as well as addressing any parking-related challenges that may arise. A strong background in front-line team management is essential.

As the Parking Events Manager, your role will encompass:

Planning and Coordination

  • Develop and implement effective parking strategies tailored to the event’s size, location, and anticipated attendance.
  • Collaborate with event organizers to ascertain their specific parking requirements and preferences.
  • Review and approve staff schedules to guarantee adequate coverage while maintaining cost-efficiency.
  • Address operational issues as they arise, often beyond regular business hours.

Budget Management

  • Create and monitor budgets to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee the submission of employee, operational, and payroll reports.
  • Develop and manage event budgets to promote cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to established guidelines.

Staff Management

  • Train and supervise Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and additional Event Staff responsible for parking operations.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, participating in client meetings as the primary contact for the University and partner organizations.
