Job description:
Community First is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Front Desk Associate to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties essential to front desk operations, adhering to department guidelines and agency standards to ensure the highest level of service is consistently maintained.
Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week
- Monday: 10 AM – 4 PM
- Wednesday: 10 AM – 4 PM
- Friday: 8 AM – 4 PM
Pay: $16 to $19 per hour, commensurate with years of relevant experience (non-negotiable).

Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome all clients and visitors, whether in person or over the phone.
- Maintain a polite and consistent phone manner, utilizing proper telephone etiquette.
- Register new clients and update existing demographic information, gathering comprehensive personal and financial details.
- Ensure accuracy of client data prior to entry into the electronic health record system.
- Make copies of client IDs and insurance cards.
- Confirm the active status of all insurance through various web-based systems.
- Collect client co-pay and self-pay payments.
- Post daily service transactions and log client payments.
- Receive, open, and distribute incoming mail.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including daily cash drawer reconciliation.
- Copy intake paperwork and distribute it to new clients.
- Create intake packets for all group programs.
- Process requests for medical records from external parties, gather necessary documents, and return them to the requester.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or appropriate to the position.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Licenses/Certifications: None required.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of previous office experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Specialized Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
- Proficient in computer use with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
