Celebrating over 40 years in the industry, Saf-Gard Safety Shoe Company specializes in developing and implementing safety footwear programs for large industrial, government, and service organizations. We are currently seeking a part-time Retail Store Specialist to join our team at our Whitehall, MI location. This role offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your retail experience, working 25-30 hours per week.
To excel in this position, qualified candidates should exhibit the following capabilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting customers in selecting their ideal safety footwear with a friendly and knowledgeable approach.
- Acquire an understanding of various product lines to effectively communicate their benefits to prospective customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring that the showroom display is fully stocked and marketing materials are current.
- Merchandise incoming products to optimize store presentation.
- Process sales transactions and access customer sales information, including sales history and policies.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 months’ experience in retail sales.
- Outstanding customer service skills are essential.
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize the company’s operating system (Navision).
- Proven experience in managing credit and cash transactions.
- Availability to start work at 6:30 AM.
