Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 – $17.50 | Year 3 – $18.00 | Year 4 – $18.00 | Year 5 – $19.00

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the direct leader.

Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize shelves and merchandise displays.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers throughout their shopping journey.
  • Offer constructive feedback to management regarding products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and other general issues.
  • Participate in store inventory counts per guidelines and monitor inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to minimize losses.

Stocker Responsibilities:

  • Stock shelves and rotate products appropriately to ensure freshness for customers.
  • Follow merchandising planograms to create appealing displays.
  • Organize new inventory and efficiently remove and break down empty boxes.
  • Operate machinery and adhere to all safety procedures.

Store Associate Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Curbside Shopping orders.
  • Store Associates are expected to fulfill both cashier and stocker responsibilities enumerated above.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
  • Store Associates & Stockers must be able to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving and place products weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Perform general cleaning duties to meet company standards.
  • Interpret and apply company policies and procedures effectively.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Store Associate & Cashier: Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately.
  • Store Associate & Cashier: Comply with state and local regulations regarding the handling and sale of alcoholic beverages.
  • Store Associate & Stocker: Safely operate equipment, including electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers.
  • Stocker: Must have morning availability to accommodate store operations, with shifts beginning as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a retail environment is advantageous.
  • A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
