Job description:
Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience within a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. In this role, you will operate registers and other machinery, restock shelves, maintain store cleanliness, and provide outstanding service to our customers. Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 – $18.50 | Year 3 – $19.00 | Year 4 – $19.00 | Year 5 – $20.00
Duties and Responsibilities:

Cashier Responsibilities:
- Process customer purchases and perform general cleaning tasks while neatly stocking shelves and merchandise displays.
- Provide exceptional customer service to assist customers with their shopping experience.
- Offer feedback to management regarding products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and other general issues.
- Participate in conducting store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitor inventory for accuracy.
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
Stocker Responsibilities:
- Stock shelves and properly rotate products to ensure freshness for customers.
- Follow merchandising planograms to create well-organized displays.
- Organize new inventory and manage the removal and breakdown of empty boxes.
- Operate machinery and adhere to all safety procedures.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and navigate throughout the store.
- For Stocker positions: Ability to stock merchandise from receipt to shelves, including placing products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelving at various heights.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge may also be considered.
