Job description:
Nino Salvaggio is seeking a Party Planning Associate/Curbside Shopper for our Clinton Township location.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of products and services available in Nino’s Party Planning Guide.
- Understand menu planning, including factors influencing menu choices, common food pairings, typical portion sizes, required quantities, wine pairings, and additional items such as flowers and balloons, as well as rental or food preparation equipment.
- Efficiently utilize Nino’s Party Planning Order Entry software program.
- Ensure all PPG/Catering orders are followed through and executed accurately from start to finish, including quality assurance and delivery logistics.
- Collaborate with various complimentary departments (e.g., Floral, Wine, Bakery, Produce Prep, Deli) to fulfill customer orders and requests.
- Execute Fresh to Go services proficiently, encompassing e-grocery shopping, efficient processing, bagging, and optimal storage until delivery.
- Adhere to proper procedures for notifying customers regarding product substitutions.
- Deliver an exceptional Fresh to Go experience by ensuring order accuracy, timely fulfillment, and prompt delivery.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, assisting customers with their orders, answering inquiries, and offering suggestions as needed.
- Stay informed about products offered across all departments, particularly Gourmet to Go.
- Replenish Party Planning Guides and supplemental materials throughout the store.
- Complete Responsible Alcohol Sales training and comply with all alcohol sales regulations and laws.
- Operate the cash register and handle customer payments as required.
- Maintain organization by following established systems for filing and cleaning tasks.
- Demonstrate professionalism and composure while multitasking and working under pressure.
- Handle customer deliveries efficiently.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including support in other departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Previous experience in event planning is advantageous.
- Experience in cash handling is required.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
- Background in sales and customer service is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented and goal-oriented mindset.
- Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating innovation and proactivity.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- A clean driving record is mandatory.
- Ability to regularly bend, lift, and/or move 25 pounds.
- Capacity to multitask while maintaining a positive disposition and solving problems effectively.
