Job description:
Nino Salvaggio is seeking a Party Planning Associate/Curbside Shopper for our Clinton Township location.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products and services offered in Nino’s Party Planning Guide.
- Understand menu planning, encompassing factors influencing menu choices, common food pairings, appropriate portion sizes, and necessary quantities. This includes pairing food with wine suggestions and considering ancillary items such as flowers, balloons, and rental or food preparation equipment.
- Proficiently utilize Nino’s Party Planning Order Entry software.
- Ensure meticulous execution of all PPG/Catering orders from inception to completion, including order accuracy, quality assurance, and coordination of delivery.
- Collaborate with various departments (e.g., Floral, Wine, Bakery, Produce Prep, Deli) to fulfill customer orders and requests.
- Execute Fresh to Go services, including e-grocery processing, efficient shopping, bagging groceries, and maintaining proper storage until delivery.
- Adhere to procedures for customer communication regarding product substitutions.
- Deliver an exceptional Fresh to Go experience, ensuring order accuracy, timely fulfillment, and prompt delivery.
- Provide courteous and knowledgeable customer service, assisting customers with their orders, addressing inquiries, and offering suggestions when appropriate.
- Maintain familiarity with products in all departments, particularly Gourmet to Go.
- Replenish Party Planning Guides and supplementary materials throughout the store.
- Attend and successfully complete Responsible Alcohol Sales training, adhering to all relevant guidelines, laws, and ordinances.
- Accurately operate the cash register and manage customer payments as required.
- Stay organized by following established systems for organization, filing, and necessary cleaning tasks.
- Maintain professionalism and composure while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Make deliveries to customers as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, which may include assistance in other departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Previous event planning experience is a plus.
- Prior cash handling experience is desired.
- Reliable transportation is a requirement.
- Experience in sales and customer service is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented and goal-focused approach.
- Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills; innovative and proactive mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A clean driving record is mandatory.
- Ability to regularly bend, lift, and/or move up to 25 pounds.
