Job description:

Clinical Care Delivery at Cardinal Health is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing patient health while ensuring the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of our practice.

In this role, you will be responsible for front desk functions, including answering phone calls, scheduling patients, managing provider schedules, and confirming or updating patient demographics. Additionally, you will assist the medical assistant with patient care tasks, which include maintaining patient care documentation, rooming patients, and checking vital signs, among other duties. A typical work schedule will involve four days dedicated to front desk responsibilities and one day for medical assisting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with in-office procedures.
  • Provide patients with the necessary information to prepare for in-office or hospital procedures.
  • Administer patient injections, treatments, or medications as needed.
  • Maintain adequate supply levels and ensure timely reordering of supplies.
  • Keep patient exam rooms well-stocked and organized.
  • Uphold cleanliness and sterility in the clinical environment.
  • Gather and upload required medical records for upcoming patient appointments.
  • Answer incoming calls and triage or schedule appointments as necessary.
  • Process patient checkouts post-visit and schedule follow-up appointments.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel between two locations: Medina and Middleburg Heights.
  • Must travel between clinics at least two Thursdays per month, as needed (mileage reimbursement provided).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification or eligibility for certification as a Medical Assistant in the state of Ohio.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in Urology.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).
