Job description:
Responsible for effectively coordinating and directing all patient experience activities within the assigned healthcare system. This role involves monitoring ongoing patient satisfaction initiatives and selectively negotiating matters related to system/account performance to ensure optimal client satisfaction, strong employee relations, and achievement of financial goals, all while contributing to future business growth. The incumbent will ensure compliance with all client, government, corporate, and division policies and procedures regarding personnel under their operational influence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track financial incentives, penalties, and reporting related to patient satisfaction performance for the designated unit.
- Maintain and support client satisfaction levels to ensure account retention.
- Administer required client/customer surveys and respond promptly and effectively.
- Monitor compliance and follow-up on patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Assist in developing, customizing, and monitoring patient satisfaction action plans tailored to meet each account’s unique needs.
- Participate actively in relevant hospital committees (e.g., Patient Satisfaction Committee, Nursing, Administration, HCAHPS Committee) to provide valuable insights.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies (CMS, JCAHO).
- Enhance regional patient satisfaction performance by promoting and monitoring progress and leveraging successful marketing strategies.
- Stay informed about patient satisfaction trends and industry conditions affecting the accounts and districts.
- Collaborate closely with the on-site management team to achieve operational goals.
- Join monthly conference calls with fellow Patient Experience Managers and operations management to update on patient experience, current trends, and recognize opportunities for employee appreciation.
- Engage in all Patient Experience Department learning sessions, including monthly educational webinars.
- Provide recognition for employees when programs are successfully implemented.
- Prepare and execute specific development and training plans aimed at patient satisfaction success.
- Compile and deliver patient satisfaction reports to management as needed.
- Implement standardized forms and data to ensure success in departmental patient satisfaction operations.
Qualifications:
- Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or RD Eligible.
- Experience in customer service training and service-oriented operations is highly preferred.
- Background in hospitality and healthcare is advantageous.
- Strong coaching and on-the-job training skills are essential.
- Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to multitask are required.
- Proficiency in Windows-based office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
