PK 4 AM Teacher’s Aide
Reports To: Early Learning Center Principal
Status: Part Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: PK 4 M – F 7:30 am to 1:15 pm
Job Summary: This position serves as a supportive role to the classroom teacher, fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young learners.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of the daily educational program under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
- Collaborate in preparing the learning environment, including the setup of interest centers and the organization of necessary materials and supplies.
- Supervise children during the teacher’s presence and absence in the classroom to ensure a safe and engaging atmosphere.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized learning space.
- Record the periodic cleaning of cots, materials, and furnishings to ensure hygienic conditions.
- Provide assistance to the teacher in various capacities as needed.
- Uphold a professional demeanor and represent the school positively at all times.
- Adhere to the systems, policies, and procedures established by the Head of School and/or Preschool Administrator.
- Participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences as requested.
- Obtain an Ohio Educational Aide Permit prior to the start date if not in possession of a teaching license.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school diploma is required.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
- Experience working with preschool or elementary-aged children is essential.
- A strong Christian background is necessary.
- Must be comfortable working within a multi-denominational Christian community.
