Job description:

Job Summary: The PK 4 Teacher’s Aide will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher and assisting in the After Care program.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the teacher to plan and implement the daily educational program.
  • Prepare and organize the learning environment, including the setup of interest centers and the preparation of materials and supplies.
  • Supervise students in the classroom, both when the Head Teacher is present and when they are absent.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the classroom.
  • Keep accurate records of the cleaning schedules for cots, materials, and furnishings.
  • Provide support to the teacher in various other capacities as needed.
  • Uphold a professional demeanor and represent the school positively at all times.
  • Adhere to the systems, policies, and procedures established by the Head of School and/or Preschool Administrator.
  • Attend relevant workshops, seminars, and conferences as required.
  • Obtain an Ohio Educational Aide Permit before the start date if a teaching license is not held.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma is required.
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with preschool or elementary-aged children is advantageous.
  • A strong Christian background is essential.
  • Must be comfortable working within a multi-denominational Christian community.
