Job description:

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide exceptional care to our residents in Clinton Township, MI. The Caregiver will play a pivotal role in assisting residents with activities of daily living while also providing companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate should possess a genuine passion for helping others, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and cultivate meaningful relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician’s orders.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain a clean living environment, which may include light housekeeping duties.
  • Report any changes in resident conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Previous experience working with elderly individuals.
  • Capability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Valid Driver’s license or ID required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with punctuality for scheduled shifts.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position with 8-hour shifts. Caregivers are required to work every other weekend.

Pay:
Starting hourly pay is $15.00, with opportunities for advancement.
