Prep Cook:

Cook Essential Functions:
- Arrive at work in a professionally presented, clean, and neat uniform
- Warmly greet all guests and foster personal connections to ensure they feel welcomed and valued
- Anticipate and exceed guest needs and expectations
- Prepare all required items according to make sheets and recipes
- Set up service units with necessary items
- Serve items in accordance with established portion and presentation standards
- Notify the Kitchen Supervisor of expected shortages
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned work areas and equipment
- Support the Kitchen Supervisor in ensuring kitchen safety and security
- Set up, maintain, and breakdown the prep cook station
- Requisition necessary items for menu preparation
- Adhere to local health and safety regulations
- Maintain required health department logs
- Properly cover, date, and store any reusable leftover products
- Uphold the highest standards of sanitation
- Exhibit consistent and reliable attendance
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Cook Uniform and Appearance Guidelines:
Uniform: A uniform shirt and name tag will be provided. Team members are responsible for wearing Suburban Inns approved black slacks and black, close-toe, non-slip shoes.
Appearance: Visible earrings are permitted in the ears only or must be covered during the shift. Hair should be kept at a natural color and well-groomed. This policy will be enforced by the supervisor of the position, without regard to race, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, height, weight, genetics, familial status, veteran status, or any other protected characteristics. The Vice President of Operations holds the authority to override any supervisory decisions in this regard.
