Job description:

Lead the execution of Press production, ensuring exceptional standards in safety, quality, productivity, scheduling, and employee relations.

  • Provide effective leadership to administrative and manufacturing teams across one or more shifts.
  • Oversee product printing while ensuring consistent adherence to quality, accuracy, safety, and performance standards at the most economical costs.
  • Ensure adherence to scheduled delivery dates and work-in-process timelines.
  • Inspire and motivate staff to support departmental and plant objectives while deploying the workforce effectively to meet production goals.
  • Cultivate and retain talent to promote safety and enhance productivity.
  • Analyze and address work-related challenges, assisting employees with troubleshooting production and quality issues.
  • Guarantee that press department activities consistently meet or exceed company and customer expectations for quality and service.
  • Facilitate and support Safety Programs and Safety Teams, fostering a culture of safety aimed at eliminating unsafe behaviors and conditions within the facility.
  • Uphold excellent housekeeping practices and safety awareness across all shifts.
  • Support initiatives aimed at reducing costs, scrap, and work inefficiencies to enhance profit margins.
  • Foster the implementation and utilization of Total Quality Management (TQM) concepts.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration with other departments to drive continuous improvement within RRD.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Operations Management to maintain a positive employee relations environment.
  • Undertake additional related duties as required.
  • Travel Requirement: Less than 10%, with potential visits to R.R. Donnelley Corporate or other facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Additional Information:
RRD’s salary range for this role is $63,300 to $97,400 annually, subject to adjustments based on geographical location and may change in the future. Typically, new hires do not enter at or near the top of the salary range. Compensation decisions consider various factors such as education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location. Additionally, the total compensation package may include participation in bonus, commission, or incentive programs.
