As a caregiver, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of our elderly clients by offering both physical and emotional support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize transfer assistive devices, including Hoyer lifts, gait belts, and slide boards
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as transferring, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Monitor changes in client health and communicate with the healthcare team as needed
  • Maintain a clean environment, including light housekeeping duties
  • Handle and clean medical devices such as catheters and oxygen supplies
  • Assess condition changes and report immediately to a supervisor
  • Create and implement engaging life enrichment activities
  • Follow schedules and assist with client repositioning
  • Transport clients to medical appointments or shopping errands
  • Complete all required documentation and charting
  • Plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious meals for clients
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Adhere to all Homestead policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of caregiving experience
  • Experience in administering medications
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel within a 25-mile radius
  • Availability on weekends
