About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our PRN team. The Medical Assistant is a vital member of our care team, working closely with primary care physicians to deliver exceptional patient care and create a remarkable guest experience. Due to our unique model, our Medical Assistants manage the complete spectrum of the patient experience, fulfilling both Medical Receptionist and clinical responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities reflect the expectations for this position but are not exhaustive:

  • Escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and adequate stock of supplies.
  • Review previous medical information and obtain any relevant updates from patients to inform the provider.
  • Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures, while collaborating with contracted labs for additional tests.
  • Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations as directed by and upon written order from the Provider.
  • Collaborate with other care team members to develop individualized patient care plans and address any gaps in care.
  • Perform front desk duties, including patient scheduling, medical record requests, documentation, coordination of specialist visits, referrals, check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Accurately document pertinent data in medical records according to established documentation guidelines.
  • Process test results and communicate timely results to patients via e-message, mail, or phone as directed by the Provider.
  • Engage in outreach to patients to enhance participation among eligible patient groups.
  • Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment for treatments.

About You

  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a Primary Care setting; this may vary based on clinic needs.
  • Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or a related program.
  • National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; MA certification or registration is required in states where it is mandated.
  • CPR/BLS certification required at the time of start date.
  • Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Pay Range: $20.00 – $24.00/hr. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, candidates’ years of experience, and skill level.
