We invite you to enhance your customer service skills and expand your knowledge in a dynamic environment at Nino Salvaggio. We are currently seeking a Produce Associate at our St. Clair Shores location.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently handle, stock, prepare, and display all produce items to meet high-quality standards.
  • Ensure proper rotation of produce to maintain quality and freshness.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and exemplary service to all customers.
  • Assist customers in locating products using a thorough knowledge of the store layout.
  • Demonstrate expertise in quality standards, pricing, varieties, and preparation methods of various products available in the department.
  • Manage damaged or spoiled items according to company and departmental guidelines and assist in minimizing waste.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company grooming and dress standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred, although not required.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Availability to work weekends is required.
  • Ability to work with all products available in the department.
  • Proficient in using knives, box cutters, balers, etc. (Note: Must be at least 18 years old to operate balers).
  • Capacity to stand and/or walk for extended periods of 8 hours or more.
  • Ability to regularly bend, lift, and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently bend, lift, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to bend, reach, and grasp as necessary.
