Ready to assist one of the nation’s leading office supply brands? We are seeking skilled furniture assemblers to construct products in customers’ homes and service this renowned chain’s stores every three weeks. Delivering an exceptional showroom experience will enhance assembly orders, and cultivating a strong relationship with the store manager will be essential for expanding work hours in the market. Strong cross-selling capabilities are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute in-home assembly assignments with precision.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of completed work.
  • Perform furniture repairs as needed.
  • Assemble Ready-To-Assemble (RTA) furniture.
  • Assemble grills and exercise equipment, among other tasks.
  • Conduct inventory checks and identify any missing items from the sales floor.
  • Secure displays to ensure customer safety.
  • Execute minor assembly repairs on furniture.
  • Clean and vacuum furniture pads.
  • Report work via phone, tablet, or computer.
  • Build and maintain relationships with store managers to facilitate growth in assembly opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation to travel 30–60 miles to multiple locations daily, based on the market.
  • A basic toolset is required in certain markets.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers, team members, and management (enhanced communication leads to increased shifts).
  • Physical capability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day.
  • Flexible availability, including hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, with occasional weekends and evenings as required.
  • Proficiency in reading and following diagrams or instructions, along with the ability to effectively utilize hand and power tools.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
