We are seeking skilled furniture assemblers to perform assembly tasks in customers’ homes and service retail stores for this esteemed chain every three weeks. Creating an exceptional showroom experience will enhance assembly order volumes, and fostering a strong relationship with the store manager is essential for expanding your hours within the market. Proficient cross-selling skills will be crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete in-home assembly assignments with precision and care.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of completed work.
  • Conduct furniture repairs as needed.
  • Assemble RTA (Ready-to-Assemble) furniture and grill equipment.
  • Assemble exercise equipment and other related products.
  • Inventory management, including identifying missing items from the sales floor.
  • Secure displays to ensure customer safety.
  • Execute minor assembly repairs on furniture.
  • Maintain cleanliness of furniture displays.
  • Report work progress using mobile devices or computers.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with store managers.

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation for daily travel of 30–60 miles to various locations, as dictated by market demands.
  • A basic tool set may be required in certain markets.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers, team members, and management (better communication leads to increased shift opportunities).
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day.
  • Flexible availability, including hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends as required.
  • Competence in reading and following diagrams or instructions and effectively using hand and power tools.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
