Job Overview

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented planner to spearhead the development and enhancement of transfer student visit experiences and events. This position directly supports UC’s ambition to enroll 60,000 students by 2030, aligning with the university’s "Next Lives Here" initiative, which emphasizes access, innovation, and inclusivity, particularly for non-traditional and transfer student populations.

Key responsibilities include the planning, promotion, and execution of events specifically tailored for prospective and admitted transfer students. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the unique needs of transfer students and a passion for creating engaging experiences that encourage enrollment and a sense of belonging within the Bearcats family.

Essential responsibilities involve leading the development, coordination, and execution of transfer-focused campus visit programs and events, including transfer-specific open houses, campus tours, admitted student events, and virtual sessions. The Program Manager will collaborate with various internal partners, including academic colleges, advising teams, and student support services, to ensure alignment with transfer student interests and success pathways.

This role also entails creating and managing event communications targeting transfer audiences, including invitations, reminders, follow-ups, and promotional content tailored to transfer students and their families. Utilizing the university’s CRM system (Technolutions Slate), the Program Manager will build, schedule, segment, and deploy event communications and automated workflows, ensuring accuracy and personalization of messaging. They will monitor engagement and registration data, conduct post-event assessments, and contribute to continuous improvement through feedback. The successful candidate will also represent the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in internal meetings and community outreach efforts aimed at enhancing transfer student access and engagement.

Essential Functions

  • Manage, design, and develop programs while performing needs assessments and making recommendations.
  • Implement and uphold relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain budget oversight, prepare contracts, monitor expenditures, and generate financial reports.
  • Serve as a liaison to internal departments, external entities, and community organizations.
  • Prepare and edit reports, newsletters, and develop publication materials as needed.
  • Provide direct and/or indirect supervision to staff, including responsibilities such as hiring, performance evaluations, and approving time off.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training may be considered in lieu of educational qualifications.

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience.
