Job Title: Program Manager, Student Engagement and Marketing, Enrollment Management

Company: University of Cincinnati

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Pay: $45000 – 55000 per year

AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $45,000 to $55,000 per year translates to approximately $21.63 to $26.44 per hour, which appears to be on the lower end for a Program Manager role, especially in the fields of student engagement and marketing within higher education. According to industry standards and regional cost of living considerations in Cincinnati, similar roles typically command higher salaries, often exceeding $60,000 annually depending on experience and specific responsibilities. Therefore, this salary range may not be competitive, particularly for candidates with advanced qualifications or extensive experience in this area.

Job description:

Current University of Cincinnati (UC) employees are encouraged to apply internally via SuccessFactors.

Founded in 1819, the University of Cincinnati is recognized as one of the nation’s premier urban public research universities. With a vibrant community of 53,235 students, nearly 12,000 faculty and staff, and over 350,000 living alumni, UC seamlessly combines its Top 35 public research university designation with a physical setting that The New York Times has described as possessing “the most ambitious campus design program in the country.”

In alignment with the launch of Next Lives Here and the Cincinnati Innovation District—a $100 million investment from JobsOhio—UC is excited about its future. This initiative, along with its esteemed cooperative education programs, a dynamic academic health center, and new membership in the Big 12 Conference, illustrates UC’s strong momentum. The university operates on an annual budget of $1.85 billion and has an endowment of $2 billion.

At UC, we are dedicated to our mission of fostering student success while transforming our community through scholarship and service. We prioritize innovation and impactful outcomes, creating an environment that allows staff and faculty to contribute significantly to UC’s achievements.

Job Overview
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented planner to lead and enhance the visit experiences and events tailored specifically for transfer students. This position directly supports UC’s goal of enrolling 60,000 students by 2030 and aligns with the university’s Next Lives Here ethos, which emphasizes access, innovation, and inclusiveness—especially for non-traditional and transfer student populations.

The successful candidate will focus on the planning, promotion, and execution of events designed for prospective and admitted transfer students. An understanding of the unique needs of transfer students and a passion for creating engaging experiences that foster belonging within the Bearcats community are essential.

Primary responsibilities include overseeing the development, coordination, and execution of transfer-focused campus visit programs and events, such as transfer-specific open houses, campus tours, admitted student events, and virtual sessions. The Program Manager will work collaboratively with academic colleges, advising teams, and student support services to ensure alignment with the interests and success pathways of transfer students. This role will also involve crafting and managing event communications, including invitations, reminders, follow-ups, and promotional content tailored to transfer students and their families.

Utilizing the university’s CRM system (Technolutions Slate), the Program Manager will build, schedule, segment, and deploy event communications and automated workflows; ensure accuracy and personalization of messaging; monitor engagement and registration data; conduct post-event assessments; and contribute to continuous improvement through feedback. The successful candidate will also represent the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in both internal meetings and community outreach efforts aimed at enhancing transfer student access and engagement.
