Job description:

NBCUniversal’s Advertising Platforms & Operations team is dedicated to the product development, project management, and daily operations of NBCUniversal’s comprehensive advertising technology suite. This division supports both internal and external clients, underpinning NBCUniversal’s robust annual advertising business, valued at $8 billion.

We are currently looking for a Programmatic Manager to join the Programmatic Ad Operations team within our Business Operations & Services department. This close-knit and dynamic team is responsible for executing all programmatic guaranteed and private marketplace deals both domestically and globally, and this role will specifically support our indirect demand sales team.

Responsibilities:

In this role, reporting to the Senior Manager of Programmatic Sales Operations, you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the team, including the onboarding and professional development of direct reports.
  • Convey technical issues, especially concerning deal escalations, in a manner that is easily understood by a non-technical audience.
  • Provide training on troubleshooting programmatic deal delivery issues, creative specifications, nuances across ad servers, demand-side platforms (DSPs), tag vendors, etc., to the Sales and Sales Operations teams as needed.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with business partners and vendors.
  • Oversee the Indirect Demand Business, including the management of the Indirect Demand Campaign Manager.
  • Establish and enhance workflows and processes while setting goals to measure and improve product output in terms of quality, conformity, scalability, and sustainability.
  • Contribute to leadership meetings and participate in strategic planning for the Sales Operations organization.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Digital Ad Operations.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the programmatic field with a solid understanding of the programmatic landscape.
  • Knowledge of the Indirect Demand ecosystem.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Proficiency in work management and documentation tools, preferably Jira and Confluence.
  • A strong ability to comprehend and communicate using technical language effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with FreeWheel and Magnite SSP.
  • Experience working directly with DSP and/or SSP partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • An enthusiasm for documentation.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in a large-scale media organization, specifically in support of Advertising Sales.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States is essential.
  • A willingness to work in the entertainment media industry, which may require availability on weekends during live events.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Salary Range: $95,000 – $130,000 (bonus eligible)
