Job description:

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to deliver exceptional care to our residents in Clinton Township, MI. The Caregiver will support residents with activities of daily living while providing companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate should possess a genuine passion for helping others, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to foster meaningful relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment, which may include light housekeeping duties.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
  • Adhere to safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience working with the elderly.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid driver’s license or state ID.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with a commitment to punctuality.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position, with Caregivers scheduled for 8-hour shifts, including every other weekend.

Pay:

Starting hourly wage is $15.00, with opportunities for growth.
