Job description:

Homestead Health Care is currently seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide essential support to our residents in Clinton Township, MI. The Caregiver will assist residents with activities of daily living, offering companionship and emotional support. We are looking for individuals who have a genuine passion for helping others, possess exceptional communication skills, and can cultivate meaningful relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid clients with activities of daily living, which include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, which may involve light housekeeping tasks.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers within Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend is mandatory.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Valid Driver’s license or ID is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team, ensuring timely arrival for each shift.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position, with caregivers scheduled for 8-hour shifts, including mandatory weekend coverage every other week.

Pay:
