Job description:

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide exceptional care to our residents in Clinton Township, MI. The Caregiver will support residents with activities of daily living while offering companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping others, possess outstanding communication skills, and cultivate meaningful relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physicians’ orders.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including light housekeeping tasks.
  • Report any changes in resident conditions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Prior experience working with the elderly is essential.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend is mandatory.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Valid Driver’s license or ID is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, with punctuality for every shift.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position requiring 8-hour shifts, with the expectation to work every other weekend.

Pay:
Hourly starting pay is $15.00, with opportunities for advancement.
