Job description:

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide essential support to our residents in Clinton Township, MI. The Caregiver will assist residents with activities of daily living while offering companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, possess outstanding communication skills, and cultivate meaningful relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain a clean environment, including light housekeeping tasks.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and Homestead coworkers.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience working with the elderly is essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Valid Driver’s license or ID required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with punctuality for each shift.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position with 8-hour shifts. Availability for every other weekend is required.

Pay:
