Job description:
At SSP America, we are seeking dedicated Line Cooks to join our team. This position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $18.00 to $20.00, along with open availability and immediate hiring. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in receiving food orders, preparing delectable dishes for our guests, and ensuring the kitchen is organized for maximum efficiency. Our culinary team thrives in the fast-paced environment of our diverse restaurant portfolio at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, which includes well-known establishments such as Chili’s, Max & Erma’s, Sora Japanese Cuisine, and Coffey Beanery.

Key responsibilities include:
– Adhering to recipes and practicing portion control while preparing, garnishing, and presenting dishes.
– Maintaining a well-organized kitchen station on a daily basis.
– Requisitioning and stocking necessary food supplies, paper products, and condiments.
– Properly handling, storing, and rotating all products to ensure freshness.
– Managing the setup, maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of kitchen equipment.
– Monitoring inventory and storage of perishables to uphold product quality.
– Completing opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required.
– Upholding quality standards for all products served.
– Executing general and specific cleaning tasks according to health standards.
– Performing additional duties as assigned.
