Cardinal Staffing Services is seeking a Quality Inspection Team Lead in Toledo, OH. The base location for this position is Toledo, OH; however, candidates should have reliable transportation for potential offsite assignments.
The Team Lead will supervise multiple sorting, inspection, and rework jobs within our manufacturing facility, requiring both supervisory experience and skills. This position operates on the second shift from 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM, with flexibility for 10 to 12-hour shifts as needed. The schedule runs Monday through Saturday, with the possibility of Sunday shifts.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the containment process and managing laborers in the inspection of customer products at designated tables or workstations.
- Leading by example, maintaining organization, and ensuring good housekeeping practices throughout the facility.
- Ensuring all employees adhere to safety protocols, in line with company health and safety policies.
- Reporting incidents or accidents to the Manager immediately.
- Coordinating shift start activities prior to the start time, including table requirements and necessary paperwork.
- Completing end-of-shift tasks, such as auditing paperwork and time sheets, and communicating effectively with the incoming shift Team Lead.
- Ensuring availability of appropriate tools and materials for job completion.
- Providing on-the-job training for any new work instructions, when applicable.
- Being accountable for personnel assigned to specific jobs.
- Offering performance input to the Manager.
- Reporting any violations of policy or procedure to the Manager.
- Participating in and supporting all health and safety initiatives and requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Availability for second shift work, with willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
- Prior experience in an automotive-related manufacturing environment is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 pounds, and work in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products is preferred.
- Basic math skills are required.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for conveying procedures and instructing others clearly.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required; forklift experience is a plus.
