Job description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technologist to become part of our medical imaging team for a 13-week contract in Cincinnati, OH. In this role, you will perform a variety of radiographic procedures across numerous departments, including diagnostic radiology, outpatient services, nursing units, and surgical areas. This position is ideal for professionals who excel in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Conduct diagnostic radiographs in accordance with physician orders.
– Operate imaging equipment within all areas of the radiology department, encompassing fluoroscopy and portable x-ray.
– Adhere to stringent radiation safety protocols to safeguard both patients and staff.
– Assist with front desk operations and effectively utilize radiology information systems.
– Schedule imaging exams and address scheduling issues as necessary.
– Coordinate patient transport through centralized systems.
– Retrieve, modify, and manage imaging data following established protocols.
– Maintain open communication with other departments to facilitate uninterrupted patient care.
– Notify and liaise with on-call radiology staff as needed.
– Promptly report any equipment issues to clinical engineering and management.
– Provide support and mentorship to radiologic technology students.
– Ensure compliance with equipment quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements, such as ODH and Joint Commission standards.
– Manage the inventory of radiology supplies and aid in departmental audits.
– Access and manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA and imaging department protocols.

Qualifications:

– Graduation from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
– Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
– Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
– Strong understanding of medical terminology, sterile techniques, and accurate patient positioning.
– Proficiency in the operation of x-ray equipment and printing systems.
