Job description:
Position Summary:
The Receiving Clerk collaborates closely with the Receiving Manager and Supervisor to facilitate the efficient operation of the Receiving Department. This role is essential in maintaining accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for promptly updating the Receiving Manager and Supervisor regarding departmental activities and any discrepancies that may arise.

Essential Functions:
* Schedule and monitor deliveries.
* Communicate efficiently and concisely, whether over the phone, in person, or via email, to coordinate returns, rejections, and credits.
* Accurately enter and manage a substantial volume of information related to incoming and outgoing merchandise in a timely manner.
* Verify and record the quantities of merchandise to ensure compliance with purchase orders and specifications.
* Document and report shortages and discrepancies.
* Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service.

Other Responsibilities:
* Perform additional work-related duties as assigned and required.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from managers, employees, vendors, and buyers.
* Proficiency in performing calculations related to figures such as discounts, interest, and proportions.
