Rose Senior Living seeks a hospitality-oriented Maintenance Technician to enhance our team. This role entails assisting in the upkeep of the physical plant through preventive maintenance, routine servicing, and various repairs, including plumbing and equipment maintenance. You will contribute to maintaining a safe environment while supporting other departments as needed.

Schedule: Part-Time, Day Shift (3 days per week)
Pay Rate: Starting at $18.50 per hour
Reports To: Plant Manager

Essential Job Functions:

  • Execute assigned painting and wall covering projects as directed.
  • Maintain the aesthetic integrity of high-traffic common areas.
  • Restore painted surfaces in vacant units to a like-new condition.
  • Perform drywall repairs and inspect, repair, or replace appliances as necessary.
  • Complete the full apartment turnover process efficiently to adhere to move-in deadlines, including drywall repairs, painting, caulking, and grouting.
  • Prioritize assignments as set by supervisors and adhere to all safety precautions to protect residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies are maintained in proper condition.
  • Foster a culture where business decisions and employee engagement contribute to revenue growth and occupancy rates.

General Job Functions:

  • Uphold regulations to ensure the confidentiality and protection of personal health information in the community.
  • Ensure resident safety and follow both written and oral instructions.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding resident and community information.
  • Assist new employees in understanding community policies and procedures.
  • Complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Attend all required in-service training sessions.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, colleagues, physicians, families, and service providers.
  • Observe all community safety protocols and report any hazards or emergencies properly.
  • Present a clean, professional appearance and demonstrate punctuality and reliability in accordance with attendance policies.
  • Account for compliance with federal, state, and other regulations relevant to the role.
  • Follow established infection control procedures and Residents’ Rights policies.
  • Accept assigned tasks and feedback professionally, communicating any concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Perform incidental housekeeping and maintenance tasks as necessary, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all.
  • Complete all related duties efficiently and professionally as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent training, education, and experience
  • Preferred: One year of experience in building maintenance
  • Preferred: One year of experience in apartment or healthcare community maintenance
