Rose Senior Living is seeking a hospitality-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will assist in maintaining the physical plant, conducting preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs, and building equipment and plumbing repairs under supervisor direction. Schedule: Part-Time – Day Shift (3 days per week)
Pay Rate: Starting at $18.50 per hour
Reports To: Plant Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Execute assigned painting and wall covering tasks to maintain the aesthetics of high-traffic common areas and restore vacated units to like-new condition.
  • Conduct drywall repairs as necessary.
  • Inspect, repair, or replace appliances as needed.
  • Complete the full apartment turnover process in a timely manner to meet move-in deadlines, including drywall repairs, painting, caulking, and grouting.
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with the priorities established by the supervisor.
  • Implement safety precautions to protect residents, staff, and visitors (e.g., utilizing ‘wet paint’ signs, safety cones, and caution tape).
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in optimal condition.
  • Contribute to a culture where business decisions and employee engagement drive revenue and occupancy.

General Job Functions:

  • Adhere to regulations that protect personal health information and ensure the minimum necessary information is known for the role.
  • Assure the safety of residents.
  • Follow written and oral directives.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding resident and community information.
  • Support new employees in adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Complete assignments thoroughly and punctually.
  • Attend all assigned in-service training.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with residents, colleagues, physicians, families, and consultants.
  • Follow all community safety policies and procedures.
  • Report safety hazards or emergencies and take corrective action as established.
  • Arrive at work in a clean, professional uniform and consistently maintain an appropriate appearance.
  • Demonstrate dependability and punctuality in adherence to the attendance policy.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and community regulations relevant to the position.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent in training, education, and experience.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in building maintenance.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in apartment and/or healthcare community maintenance.
